Musicians

I've had the amazing good fortune to work with some of the best musicians anyone could hope for, most of whom are nestled here with me in the Lancashire hills.

Thanks must go firstly to Boo Long for being someone magical and inspiring for everyone, Mick Wright, endlessly creative and a genius on the guitar, John Kierans for seeing what he saw in the beginning, Lindsay Riley for all that time you spent on those Broux songs, and finally Dave Morley and Phil Gleave, thank you for your inspired contributions to the music.

The Secret Irwell.

The photo on the front cover was taken by Rachael Barker, who spent all afternoon and evening taking hundreds of photos of me  for nothing but a glass of wine and good company. Those photos are a goldmine, Rachael, thankyou so much. The main photo on this website's homepage is also taken from that session.

Yorkshire Street.

Peter Weller and I headed up to the Long Causeway, Kebs Road, in Todmorden, for a windy photoshoot probably ten years ago now. The location was no accident. The Sportsman Pub used to be up there, which was where I found myself at my very first live gig just three weeks after buying my first guitar. Pie were playing (Boo Long, Brian Eastwood and Joe Caswell), and it was the beginning of a whole new world for me. Thanks goes out to Irwell Pete for capturing that time so beautifully.

Here I want to pay homage to the photographers who have followed me around in one way or another, or met me at a gig or a festival here and there, and have given me permission to use their shots on my website and social media. I love you guys! I wouldn't have been able to put all this together if it wasn't for you. Thank you.

Everyone Else

Thanks to the most talented and generous artist, Stewart Johnson, for painting the Broux's Primordial Moonshine front cover. It will hang in my living room forever.

Thanks also to Rowan Greenwood for always having something constructive to say on the alignments. You've got a great eye and you're not afraid to say so!
